I'm an anthropologist turned copywriter. I took a deep love of storytelling, a healthy obsession with proving arguments via data, and a theater kid's flare for expressing myself and turned it into a career. I currently work as a lead copywriter at a marketing agency.

Victory Bank is a regional bank that came to our agency to fully define their brand before launch, create a website that focused on their core services and features their belief in a strong community, and launch their business.

I co-led their branding workshop, discovering that their differentiator was business banking services, not personal banking and lending.

Their launch press release was picked up by local and national publications. The website strategy and copy were created to balance between business sensibilities and a fresh, interactive, contemporary appeal.

Asking Businesses to Say Wine Not to Custom, Branded Wines

ADDY Award-winning website. Tailored 385 is a Texas-based winemaker, grower, and bottling company that works with businesses to create their custom wine. I created a web strategy and copy that layered SEO-driven content with the fun, sophisticated brand feel that they wanted.

Headlines tell the story of the brand, keeping the attention of skimmers, while additional content gives readers the information they need to say yes.

How I work

My writing process depends on the project, but it always starts with research. To tell the story of a brand, I need to know their values, goals and hopes. Then, I focus on getting to know their audience—through research, interviews, or review mining. Then, I turn on the playlist that reminds me of the client and get to work.
